SWIMWEAR CARE

SWIMWEAR CARE

Now that you have found your dream swimwear or bikini, let us give you these tips on how to wash, dry and store them correctly so you get to enjoy it for many days of sun, sand and seas to come!

  1. Wash after each wear.

And as soon as you are done wearing it even if you did not enter the waters. Sand, sunscreen and your body’s natural oils can take a toll on the quality of your garments.

  2. Hand wash it in clear cold water.
Washing it with hot water weakens the fabric. Do not use bleach, fabric softeners or other strong detergents. The use of neutral soap or mild detergent to remove traces of chlorine, salt or lotions is adequate.

  3. Do not dry clean.
The process of cleaning in the dryer not only destroys the elastic fibres of your suits, it can also cause them to shrink if over heating occurs.

  4. Lightly wring out every last drop of water.
Aggressive wringing can damage the fibres of the fabric. Lay it out on a towel, roll the towel up and squeeze it gently to soak up excess water.

  5. Dry in shade.
While it seems like a better idea to dry them under the sun, the truth is that sun’s exposure will slowly damage the colour of these garments. Therefore, it is best to dry them in the shade and if possible, the other way around.

  6. Dry on a flat surface to preserve the silhouette and fit.
Hanging a swimsuit (especially by the ties) can stretch it out and alter the shape of the suits.

  7. Store it only when it is completely dry.
Humidity favours the growth of fungi and bacteria, hence leaving the fabric smelling bad. Let your bikinis dry completely before storage.

  8. Do not iron.

In line with point 2, excessive heat will damage the fabric and over time compromise on the colour and fit of your suits.

Just as we care about the quality and fitness of our suits for you, we want to entrust you to treat these swimwear with tender loving care once they reach your hands so that they will be in perfect conditions as you Sea More of the World, One Beach at a Time!
